How can I use the Internet to support my teaching and students’ learning?

How can I ensure responsible and appropriate use of the Internet?

Unit of Study:

Collaborating With Google Apps: For Teachers/Educators

Using the Internet is inherent to my unit plan. Therefore, the experiential component to this unit paired with showing real examples of teachers using these tools in their curriculum will support the "students'" learning. Additionally, my use of the Google Apps throughout my lessons and communications with the "students" will support their learning.

Since my "students" are teachers, responsible and appropriate use of the Internet would be focused on Copyright and Fair Use, as well as becoming knowledgeable about educationally relevant web sites to be used with students. Part of one of the unit's lessons should focus on Copyright (Creative Commons would be used and other video clips on this topic). Then re-visiting and emphasizing that topic throughout the unit is beneficial and necessary.
